Develop your skills over the course of a summer internship and gain valuable experience in the asset management industry. You’ll also have the chance to potentially earn yourself a place on one of our graduate programmes. Here, we tell you about the business areas we offer internships in.

What we do
It’s important that a fund makes a return on the initial investment. Our job is to research and decide on the best markets and funds to invest in, whether it be a Fidelity fund or that of another asset manager.
Our top-down research approach looks at macroeconomics and market knowledge to help guide investment decisions.
Through analysis we make recommendations on which strategies are worth investing in.
Marrying research from different sources and creating funds of funds for a lower-risk investment.
What you will be doing
Over the course of an 10-week programme, you’ll learn how different asset classes behave. If you show promise and improvement over the course of the summer, you could be offered a place on our graduate programme.
You'll talk to fund managers and sit in on meetings to help understand how funds are rated and what questions need to be asked to make firm judgments.
You'll conduct re-search and attend meetings with portfolio managers and analysts to discuss recent economic data releases and policy announcements.
At the end of your internship you'll be asked to present research findings to the investment team.

We’re looking for highly driven people with intellectual curiosity, commercial understanding, ambition, resilience, comfort with numeracy and an absolute commitment to serving the best interests of our clients.
We welcome applications from all degree disciplines and and all academic achievements. You will need to be in the penultimate year of your degree and available to complete 10 weeks of full-time work this coming summer.
