Spring Insight Programme

An opportunity for first year (or second year students on a four year course) to learn more about Fidelity and what we do.

About the programme

A Spring Insight Programme should not be boring. A Spring Insight Programme should not be about watching presentations. It should be about building a picture of what your future could look like. Our three day event will be an immersive introduction to the range of career opportunities available in a global asset management firm.

Workshops

You will navigate through a host of skills sessions and workshops to help you grasp the nature of what we do, and what drives our passion to do it.

Challenges

We will test your skills with our stock picking and business case study challenges – on which you’ll then get feedback from Fidelity’s professionals.

Learn

Identify your strengths and articulate your career goals, with straight-up, honest insights from a mix of current graduate employees and programme alumni.

Network

You will have an opportunity to network with our industry leading experts and graduate analysts alike, to gain a first-hand, authentic view of how a career at Fidelity could work for you.

Application process

We like well-rounded applicants, which is why we will ask you questions that will highlight your personality and potential, rather than just numerical capabilities.

Before applying, check out our top tips for how you can add value via our interview process.

We value the different ways that people think. Don’t tell us what you think we want to hear - it’s not what you choose to write about that matters but how you articulate your thoughts. We will be looking for you to provide your answers via previous examples from academia, employment, voluntary work or societies you may have been involved with. You don’t have to do this all in one go – you can save and log in as many times as you want with your username and password.

You will need to:

  • provide an up to date CV

*Please note if you are currently in a Tier 4 student visa, this means you have the right to work in the UK

Our online testing uses a fun neuroscience-based test to help you show off your best traits. When you submit your application form you will be automatically invited to complete our on-line assessment within 5 days. (Please check you spam/junk mail folder for the invite.)

If you’re successful at the online stage, we’ll invite you to do a 15-minute video interview within 5 days. (Please check you spam/junk mail folder for the invite.)

You’ll be asked to answer 3 - 4 strengths-based questions. If you feel you will need extra time to record your interview, please email us earlycareersatfidelity@fil.com to discuss before launching your video interview.

You’ll be given a practice question before you start so you have time to get used to the format. There isn’t a wrong or right answer, this is a chance for you to show us how you approach answering questions about your strengths and interests.
