Learning and development
Support every step of the way
At Fidelity, we believe in - and we place emphasis on - fulfilment, collaboration, engagement and strong business performance. We work to realise our purpose by supporting, motivating and developing our high potential talent across the organisation.
Through our learning and development initiatives we aim to create a platform where you:
- Engage with expert trainers to grow and refine your skillset,
- Benefit from a motivated support system of peers, mentors and managers
- Continue to develop your technical expertise through professional accreditations and/ or access to our online learning systems
Our Values, Trust and Integrity, drive how we work with each other. We recognise the trust placed in us by all our Early Careers talent. Hence, our aim to curate a best-in class programmatic experience that will help shape, develop and accelerate careers over the years to come.
What you can expect
Fidelity’s Apprenticeship programmes provide the opportunity to earn industry recognised certifications while working within a team of talented, curious and supportive individuals. Whether you choose to join Technology, Operations or Client Services, you’ll learn and develop both the technical and practical skills to take your career in any direction.
Welcome and orientation
This is our opportunity to introduce you to Fidelity; what we do and how we work, our clients, and our impact within the investment management industry. This is coupled with tailored behavioural and technical skills modules, all designed to provide a rounded learning experience and set you up for success in your role.
Progressive learning journey
Every one of our apprenticeship roles is mapped to a government standard. This ensures that you have access to a comprehensive learning and development journey, where the knowledge and skills you develop are directly applicable to your role.
Across our apprenticeships, we partner with market-leading training providers to provide you with personalised support and guidance as you navigate your training, project work, and in some cases exams.
To bolster your learning and development, we offer technical and behavioural skills-based training at regular intervals throughout the course of your programme. Some topics include: Knowing your Strengths, Cognitive Agility, Resilience, Personal Impact and Authenticity and Communication
Wrapped around our core learning curriculum is a network designed to support you and bring our values, behaviours and culture to life. During your programme you will be paired with a
Buddy: someone from your peer group who has volunteered or been selected by your manager to support you through your orientation period. Their role is to help you settle in and answer any questions you might have when you don’t know who to ask. Alongside your manager, they will introduce you to your team and existing graduates and share information to help get you up to speed. They are your ‘go to’ person who can pass on the hints and tips of ‘how to get things done’.
